Last year we told you the Spice Girls could be planning a reunion, and today some eight months after the story broke the girls could be back on stage and strutting their stuff again soon, but as a four piece band not a five piece!
Mel C has been speaking to the MailOnline about the possibility of the band reforming, without Victoria Beckham. She said, “The four of us could consider it maybe. We have Victoria’s blessing to do that. We’ve talked about it. Victoria doesn’t want to, which we completely understand. We are so proud of her and her incredible foray into fashion, it’s incredible what she’s achieved as a designer.”
The girls reformed in 2008 for the Return of the Spice Girls, a tour that sold out in minutes, and they also performed at the London Olympics in 2012 and only last year Mel C was banging the drum for the girls to get back together as she said, “We have so much fun when we’re together. There are no plans at the moment to do anything, but if a great opportunity came up I’d jump at the chance. It’s absolutely never say never.”
During the 1990′s the Spice Girls were the biggest girl band around, and were they to make a comeback as a four piece, or five piece band, they would no doubt be as popular now as they were all those years ago.
